Wood and Watercolors began in 2016 as a place to sell all of the decor and designs I had made for our wedding. It grew into a successful Etsy shop, and I continued to work on upcycling home decor and furniture, and painting.

Fast forward a few years, a move, a new job, and a baby, and I've gotten back into painting and crafting and it has become a form of therapy. Watercolors bring me a particular joy - the layered colors, saturated pigments, wide range of techniques, and learning to relax my perfectionism and just let the water flow. It's not an easy medium to paint with, but I like the challenge of having to learn something new with each new painting I take on.

Sometimes you'll see some different things in my shop, like acrylic paint diluted to remind your eye of watercolor, or just things that I find beauty in. But I hope that you check out my gallery and Etsy shop, and don't hesitate to reach out if you're curious about custom commissions!

My dream for my artwork is to bring people joy, and to show my young daughter that she can also express herself through art, and that her popsicle stick and googly eye masterpieces are just the beginning of her own artistic talents.
